Ambassador Dato¡¯ Dr. G.K. Ananda Kumaraseri is a career ambassador of over 30 years standing. He retired in 1995 as Director General ASEAN. Since then he has authored several notable books on such important subjects as the cultivation of human values, personal development, holistic education and peace. He is a much sought after Dhamma Speaker in Malaysia and overseas. His recent treatise on holistic motherhood and parenting is widely used as a practical yet effective training manual for courses, on social ills and crimes such as drug abuse, AIDS, child abuse and gender inequality.
Dato' G.K. Ananda Kumaraseri has carved a niche for himself in espousing the concept of ¡°Living by Buddhism¡± by emphasizing the practice and practical application of the Buddha¡¯s Teachings in daily life. Biodata:
Ven. Vimokkha is the Abbot of Pipphalivanaram Temple in Rayong. He obtained his M.A. in Buddhism from Mahachulalongkorn University, Thailand. He is currently studying for his Doctorate in Buddhism at Mahachulalongkorn University, Thailand.
He has extensive experience in teaching Insight Meditation and has since been engaged by numerous organizations including Dhamnasathan in Chulalongkorn University, Saladhamma Temple in Pathumthani, Ariyasom Temple in Sukhumvit, and Boonnives Temple in Dhammasathan, among others.
He has designed and conducted the popular program Development of Mindfulness and Awareness in the Work Place for various large private organizations across Thailand.
He is currently writing a book entitle ¡®Development of Mindfulness and Awareness for Insight Meditation
Young Adult Camp - Ven. Amaranatho

Attire: Loose and comfortable.
Accommodation: Simple accommodation is provided in the retreat centre. Some cleaning and other duties are shared.
Meals: There are three meals a day, and all food is vegetarian.

Biodata:
He was once working within the computer industry and took a degree in computing and artificial intelligence. He then traveled around the world for four years, where he learnt about meditation and the thought began, to become a monk. He has been a Buddhist monk for ten years and lives at Amaravati Monastery near Hemel Hempstead.
He leads residential family, young people and creative retreats for adults at the retreat center at Amaravati (www.family.amaravati.org). These events are based on co-exploration, creativity, fun and a willingness to honestly look at oneself. The main emphasis is on a contemplative or reflective attitude towards understanding who we are. This is based on accepting or welcoming the way life is and allowing our natural wisdom to arise.
He has edited two books of Ajahn Sumedho, the Abbot of Amaravati, one called Intuitive Awareness which is available for free distribution and has been translated into several languages, and another called The Sound of Silence available from Wisdom Publications.
Ven. Amanaratho is also active in inter-faith dialogues and programs.
